Nowadays, it is a common sight to some schools and some events such as seminars and workshop to have some form of games as ice breakers from the long hours of studies or lectures that are being held. Such ice breakers are done in the form of games mostly like the game of bingo. Hence, for this adaptation, was born the ice breaker bingo. This type of bingo was created and being played for this purpose.

The ice breaker bingo is a tow in one game. While this game is basically played pretty much the same manner as the regular bingo, the teacher or organizer of such event designs the most accurate type of this ice breaker bingo depending on their intended age, confidence level,and the skills of players, such as the English language, etc.

Players in ice breaker bingo has their own bingo cards. The main objective of the game is to be the first player to get a line of the five marked off items indicated in one's card. This line may come in horizontal vertical or diagonal in form. The items being described on the cards are based or are in connection with the topics that are being discussed or anything that can be related to the vent that is being held at the moment.

The more simple type of ice breaker bingo, the bingo cards contain the names of the members of a group. In each square of the card, there is a name that is indicated. The teacher or the organizer then starts by asking some people to stand up . Each one who was called will stand up and will talk about himself, and lastly will announce his name. The ice breaker bingo players can then marked their names on his card . The player who gets the first five names inline will then announce and say "bingo". But this is not valid until the player is able to identify the persons who own the names correspondingly.

Other types of ice breaker bingo has some activities described on their cards. Such acitivities were being circulated among players and each one finds his match from among them. Finding their match , the player then writes the person,s name in the square. The catch in this kind of ice breaker bingo game is that every name that was jot down can only be used once per card. This will require players to talk to as many persons in the group as he can to win
